The Role: The Heartbeat of Depot Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Smart Scheduling: Planning and optimizing daily runs, linehaul operations, and local delivery schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Operational Admin: Preparing accurate driver manifests, cross-docking paperwork, and ensuring full compliance with transport regulations.
  • Track & Trace: Utilizing modern transport management systems (TMS) and freight scanning technologies to monitor freight status and provide real-time updates to the customer service team.
  • Driver & Yard Liaison: Serving as the central point of contact for truck drivers, forklift operators, and freight handlers to keep loading and dispatch timelines on target.

What They Are Looking For:

  • Logistics DNA: Proven experience in a transport scheduling, dispatch, or fleet administration role.
  • Local Geography Knowledge: A strong understanding of South Australian geography and regional transit routes is highly desirable to help optimize delivery runs.
  • Tech-Savvy Mindset: Comfort using transport management systems, freight scanning software, and the standard MS Office suite.
  • Cool, Calm, and Collected: The transport industry shifts gears fast. You need the ability to think on your feet, solve logistical hiccups under tight deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Great Communicator: Able to build quick rapport and deliver clear instructions to a diverse team of drivers and warehouse staff.
